I did it! I just completed a round of Faster Way to Fat Loss!! And I feel SOOOOO much better than I did 7 weeks ago! I lost 11 inches and 7 lbs in less than 2 months!! My birthday is this Friday and my goal was to be feeling so much better by my birthday and I am extremely happy with my results!! This is super vulnerable for me to post about you guys…but I truly hope that the program can help someone else as much as it helped me. And before + after photos are what helped convince me to try it. Sooooo, here it goes…my before + afters!
I honestly didn’t know how much progress I had made until I took my ‘After’ photos today and saw the difference in my measurements. Am I back to my pre-baby size? No. But could I have done hot yoga 7 weeks ago, like I did this past weekend? No way. So let’s chat about all of the things that have improved since starting Faster Way. I’m going to have to make a list because there’s a lot of things.
I can fit into clothes that I couldn’t fit into before.
I can complete exercises in my workouts, without modifying most of them.
Sugar makes me feel terrible and I’m no longer craving it.
I’ve discovered how much I was overeating in general, and overeating in specific areas by measuring my macros.
I’ve trained my body in intermittent fasting.
I experienced breakthrough in a plateau. I didn’t know how I was going to lose the baby weight before I found Faster Way.
I’m still nursing my baby and this program didn’t kill my milk supply!!
I have more energy.
So, what is Faster Way to Fat Loss? It’s a 6 week program (plus one prep week) that incorporates Intermittent Fasting, Carb Cycling and Workouts to train your body to burn fat. You work with a coach who will teach you everything (I worked with Allie Janszen and she was awesome!) and you are a part of a whole group of women that are going through the program. There’s coaching, accountability and encouragement. You guys, it was not easy for me. It was not easy to change my mindset and habits. It was not easy to do the workouts. BUT I did it. And you can do it, too. After just 6 weeks of implementing the program, I have totally changed what my body craves and I am so much STRONGER.
I have a few other good things to note. First, you are allowed the occasional treat, alcoholic beverage and the plan really isn’t super restrictive on the kinds of food you eat. There are definitely firm guidelines, but it’s more about ‘how much’ and ‘when.’ You can also modify your weeks. If a special occasion is coming up an the nutrition + workouts for that day are not conducive - you can talk with your coach about how to switch your week around. It really is a plan that can accommodate your lifestyle and it’s totally doable!
Faster Way to Fat Loss + Breastfeeding. In all honesty, I thought I was going to have better results with the weightloss on the program. I TRULY believe that I had I not been nursing, that I would have lost even more. My body just hangs on to everything to make that milk. However, I am SO grateful that my supply didn’t tank, that I got to drop a couple of sizes and I still get to nurse my baby. I truly didn’t think that I could do both. My supply was so sensitive with my first baby… I was sure it would disappear this time, if I tried to lose weight. That’s fear, you guys. I was overeating out of fear. I am having to supplement since starting the program, but I am experiencing more freedom with food, my body and nursing. I cried over that today. True breakthrough! What might be causing you to overeat? Could Faster Way help you over come it?
There are modifications for breastfeeding moms and many moms claim to see a boost in supply while on the program. There were a few other breastfeeding moms in my group and their supply was not negatively affected. I just have a super sensitive supply, that I have to work hard to maintain.
My ‘WHY.’ I was 6 months postpartum and looked 6 months pregnant. I know, I should have grace with myself! I had two babies within 14 months of each other (so technically only 20 months postpartum from the first). My body has been through so so much and I am incredibly grateful and proud of it. But I felt terrible - I had low energy, poor nutrition, no sleep and the only thing that fit was my maternity clothes (which I was definitely NOT going to wear). I was also trying to work out some and eat better…but nothing was budging. So, I’m so thankful that my friend Caroline McClure posted her Faster Way results. I signed up that day. I was like “If I could drop some baby weight in just 6 weeks and feel better by my birthday - it’s totally worth a shot!”
And you guys, it was totally worth it!!! Some days were hard, and some days really weren’t. Some days I got off track, and some days I was having to make myself eat all of the food that was required. I got SO much better at work outs - and now I kind of don’t like missing a workout! Totally, totally worth it for me.
And maybe it’s worth it for you, too? I love to promote self love and I didn’t want to post about weight loss. I only want my blog and Instagram to be a place where my readers can love themselves and their body more. The truth is - if you’re reading this, you are likely struggling like I was. I am posting this to help anyone that’s in a rut in their health journey. There is no perfect size or weight - only whole, healthy humans that have the energy to do all of the things that they were made to do.
The next round of Faster Way to Fat Loss with my coach, Allie, starts on July 29. It’s totally worth a shot, you guys!! I cannot recommend it enough for someone who is feeling stuck in their health journey.
What’s next for me? I’m continuing the Faster Way lifestyle! I have personal goals that I want to meet and I know Faster Way will help me achieve them!
